I forgot what a porn mag The Post could be…just as I was just reminded our future and present President boasted on the Howard Stern Show while the remains of World Trafe Center where still piping hot that Trump Tower was now the tallest building in New York City. …GOD HELP U.S. Deliver U.S. from Evil and take him…I mean Calgon take me away
Recently, and shamefully, the Canadian national broadcaster let slip a memorandum that the world terror, terrorism, and terrorist would no longer be applied to, well, terror, terrorism, and terrorists.
I had two quick thoughts: perhaps the word journalist and journalism should no longer be applied to employees of the CBC, and that what would the dead, and the families of the dead, think of such an abandonment?
Mine was an unusual experience. I was in the midst of a colonoscopy when the first tower was hit. I was under a typically mild anesthetic that usually put me under while allowing me - or my ears - to hear the voices of the doctors managing the procedure. Suddenly I heard them start talking distractedly with surprise and amazement about what was happening. It was as if I was dreaming. I heard but I was in a fog, all my senses were dulled, and I was unable to really comprehend the reality of it or the shock until half an hour later, when I was fully conscious again and had left the hospital, where everyone visible on the street was in panic mode. My wife and I rushed home 20 minutes away to become glued to the TV.
I worked for Marsh & McLennan at the time. We had offices in both towers and lost over 300 employees, a few which were business associates of mine. We lost internet service as our national radio towers were on top of both buildings. I feel gloomy whenever I see the Twin Towers in older films. I was proud of Guiliani and Bush, and all the first responders whatever their origin. At no time since has our country been so unified.
Don't forget the Iran Hostage Crisis. Iranian "students" invaded the U.S. Embassy in 1979 and held those inside for 444 days. The hostages were released the first day after Reagan was inaugurated.
Prayers for peace of mind for the victims families ✌🏼❤️

Jay, one of your best.

I have never seen how we made Iran pay for that.
