Good morning Jay…on this D Day black turned into the light anniversary, I was just thinking of looking into the eyes of my old man (may he R.I.P., with my beloved mother, in the greatest American traitors former backyard and greatest F.U. war spoil ever) and thinking I am a lot like him…Not really, I am a no hero, more like a zero Eighties kid that overate counter sub culture and my anthems was arrogantly, ignorantly The Clash’s “The Call Up” (Sandinistas would have been the greatest double l.p. to follow up a bands other double l.p. if you were an aficionado of punk rock…but I parenthetically digress because)…thinking about power…and the way a man can use it…and be destroyed by it (hat tip, Perry Farrell)…and how Mike Judge foresaw back to the future on a fake news “Go Army” commercial he created…for none other than the likes of Beavis and Butthead…with a monster poster of Donald J Trump (I kid…I KID ROCK YOU)…butt non other than a WAR IS COOL poster behind the army recruiters desk…Haven’t I been telling you all Jaywalkers that We the Living in Idiocracy for years now…
Anyhow, back to what my old man would do if he could rise from the dead and be a young, fit, scared, pissed off man for what the Nazis had done to this beautiful world, I mean Neo nationalist sociopaths Don King Trump and Secretary of Bore War Pete Hegseth…forgive me Jesus, trigger warning…my eminently decent, officer and Christian gentleman would pick up little Petey by his fing neck and give the fing turd a near death experience and come to Jesus moment…I defecate you negatory that smug, self satisfied shit eating grin of that city slicker FOXXXY News host would be wiped off his face….forever…When the f is just one man…or woman with courage going to finally step up to the mobsters, I mean monsters in the Bada Bing, I mean Oval Office and stop what they are doing because I am going to ruin the image and the style you are used to…
Eighty Two years gone and We the People have a President of the United States that actually said yesterday it would be his “honor” to meet Hitler, I mean the Ayatollah….This cannot be happening here…oh, wait, it is…How many times do I have to say “For gods sake, this guy cannot remain in white power”. Calgon take me away, I mean God HELP U.S!!! Or just throw Pete Hegseth on the front lines…directly in the lines of fire to make him eat his own words to…We the Living in Idiocracy. Here we are now, Trump entertain U.S. Gotta run on. Thanks for taking my rant and blessed are the peacemakers who never really died so that we should live in a free world Onward and Upward. Not so much the implications of the content, mind you, but, rather, the stellar presentation and discussion.
I have shared my thoughts on President Trump, and I don’t need to list them again. Imagine what President Trump could have accomplished were he a man of character, of limitations, and of some measure of humility.
George Marshall was a giant of a man. He was the kind of man revered by folks of a certain age.
Although I am Canadian, every school child in my Country was taught the importance of the Marshall Plan in rebuilding Europe. Could it be duplicated today? Is this still taught in Canadian schools? I have no idea.
I came across a comment with respect to Canada that may fit the narrative of your collection of thoughts. Forgive me if you disagree.
