Trump is trolling his enemies, who respond exactly as he hopes, a-quiver with prim indignation. Whatever the propriety of a sitting President may be to do this, let’s recognize it for what it is, and nothing more.
On the other hand, a quick online search reveals that in the aftermath of the George Floyd riots (which left dozens dead and billions of dollars’ worth of property in ruins, over 200 places were renamed after the career criminal and raging drug addict George Floyd. This was done not by Trump but by leftist city governments. They were not just trolling - they were in deadly earnest.
Renaming things is overwhelmingly a leftist practice. Who renamed Mount McKinley “Denali”? That was Obama. Who renamed the Hoover Dam the “Boulder Dam”? That was FDR.
Under Biden, nine well-known U.S. military bases were re-named, along with hundreds of other sites that were previously named in a fashion ideologically objectionable to the left. Of course this hearkens back to leftists’ moral model, the Soviet Union, which changed St. Petersburg to “Leningrad” and Tsaritsyn to “Stalingrad.”
Maybe Democrats can rename themselves “Socialists,” which would at least be honest, leaving the name “Democrats” available for a new party, reflecting the spirit of Harry Truman and Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
Classic Whataboutism…Fascinating to read such on a National Review expat’s Substack (admittedly, not a perfect analogy, as the anti Trumper was not rehired by a formerly “Against Trump” Editor in Chief). Your comments on the World’s Biggest Twitter Troll (who, in a comic twist of his story, was reinstated by a fellow racialist, megalomaniac Musk…at least the Afrikkkaner is a builder of some good for Planet Earthlings), defending the Anti Truth Neo Nationalist Sociopath renaming things and places after himself and Amerika is not something I would ever see down below. It is most interesting The Floyd comes to your mind, as such a rant makes me think of more recent, innocent victims of goons, I mean N.I.C.E.brutality…and how the “domestic terrorists”, I mean real killer is in the Bada Bing, I mean Oval Office. In the meantime, emphasis on mean, I will PRAY TO END TRUMPISM and confront it in all its grotesque forms. This fecal matter shall pass…the sooner, the better. Far more than the greatest nation on Gods green Earth’s honor is still hanging by the skin of our teeth. Gotta run on. Thanks for taking my rant. Onward and Upward
Canadians may be among Trump's many, many "enemies," but there is no good purpose in making them our enemies. Trump is not 'trolling." He is being a peevish megalomaniac -- and rendering the U.S. without friends or allies.
And no other president has been so determined to put his own name on things -- much less threatened to tear down a memorial to another president if he can't carve his own name into it. He wants a carrier to be named for himself, rather than for a war hero who would probably have gotten a Medal of Honor if he had not been black.
There aren't enough what-abouts available to offset the grotesque selfishness and petulance of Donald Trump.
Well, Trump has certainly rendered you "a-quiver with prim indignation," hasn't he?
I do not find it more than occasionally amusing, and wish he would tone the trolling down, but still - he's preferable to a commie like Abdul El-Sayed, Zohran Momdani, or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes, isn't he? And they are what the opposition party considers suitable candidates.
As for Canada, the current government there is in love with the Paris accords and under Justin Trudeau repeatedly engaged in actions against the civil liberties of its people. You might look at the burgeoning movement in Alberta to secede from the Canadian confederation. We ought to be encouraging it - that would be a far more effective response to the absurdities of Trudeau, Carney, et al.
And as far as "friends and allies" are concerned, let us recall the words of Lord Palmerston: "We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow." That was wisdom!
Thou shall NOT lie, cheat, steal or tolerate those that do. Anyone with a brain and balls would immediately submit to you that The Trump Bible Salesman has made an extremely good living and been hugely successful in this life by forsaking The Golden Rule…and those that tolerate his immorality are the root cause of all our nation and still free Western Civilization’s problems…oh, and a winner take all primary system…oh, and especially D.S.A., I mean the D.NC. for nominating Selina Meyer for President of the United States…thanks a lot Trumpers and prooooogresssives. We the Living in Idiocracy. God HELP U.S
About 30 years ago I was talking to a realtor at an upscale resort community. Commenting on the condition in which renters had left a unit she was showing us, in her wonderful Southern accent she said "Money has nothing to do with class," Trump exemplifies her thought.
I look forward to the day respect, character, integrity, and chivalry all return to the White House.

Two Canadian journalists - Jen Gerson & Matt Gurney- operate a successful podcast and independent news company called “The Line”.
They are experienced, professional reporters, and I am happy to report I am a subscriber.
Jen and Matt have taken to calling themselves “Matt and Jen America” in anticipation of the President’s next actions.
There is but a little smile for a Sunday morning, Jay.

I’m 58. I don’t think I’ll live long enough to see America’s honor restored to where it was just 10 years ago.
About 30 years ago I was talking to a realtor at an upscale resort community. Commenting on the condition in which renters had left a unit she was showing us, in her wonderful Southern accent she said "Money has nothing to do with class," Trump exemplifies her thought.
It isn’t Sunday morning without Jay.

Great work, friend.
Thx a ton, my friend.

Perfect.
